Radiology Colleges and Universities
About Radiology Program:
In addition to preparing patients and radiology equipment, X-Ray Technician training prepares future radiologists to keep patient
records and adjust and maintain equipment. Although hospitals will remain the primary employer, a greater number of new jobs
will be found in physicians' offices and diagnostic imaging centers. A formal radiology program at a radiology school will
prepare a student for most radiology jobs.
Radiology Work Environment:
Opportunities for part-time radiology and shift work also are available. Most full-time radiologists and x-ray technicians work
about 40 hours a week.
Median salary earnings of radiology school graduates for 2002: $38,970
