Surgical Technologist Training School

About Surgical Tech Training Program:
Pre-operation, surgical techs prepare surgical instruments and equipment, sterile linens, and sterile solutions. Technologists get patients ready for surgery and wash, shave, and disinfect incision sites. They bring patients to the operating room, position them on the operating table, and cover them with drapes. The surgical technologist observes patients' vital signs, record charts, and assist the surgical team. The surgical tech assists in surgical operations along with surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical staff. Surgical technologists are key members of operating room teams, which include the surgeons, the anesthesiologists, and staff nurses.

Surgical Tech Work Environment:
Most surgical technologists work a 40-hour week. Surgical technologist specialists work in hospital settings. They may be exposed to diseases and unpleasant sights and odors.
