Online Pharmaceutical Programs

Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians work together to ensure patients receive accurate pharmaceuticals and medical information. These trained professionals can be found in hospitals, retail pharmacies, and long-term care facilities. Training for the two careers can be vastly different, but in both cases, basic coursework includes pharmacy dosage calculations, interpretation of medication orders, and applied pharmacy keyboarding.

Pharmacists must obtain a doctor of pharmacy degree and pass several examinations to obtain a license. Some pharmacists who own their own pharmacies choose to obtain an MBA degree in addition to their technical training. Pharmacy technicians, on the other hand, typically receive a certificate, diploma, or associate degree as proof of their training program.

Students across the country pursue degrees online. Why? The time-saving convenience of the online classroom allows many to keep part- or full-time careers while pursuing a full-time education. You can complete your degree online without sacrificing your job or family obligations.
