About Warner Pacific College
     Warner Pacific College is an urban residential and commuter Christian liberal arts college located in Southeast Portland, Oregon, was founded in 1937. Enrollment totals approximately 600 students with a student to faculty ratio of 12:1. Students come to Warner Pacific from 18 states and 9 countries.
    Warner Pacific College is dedicated to providing students from diverse backgrounds an education that prepares them for the spiritual, moral, vocational, and technological challenges of the 21st Century. The college is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.Additionally, students have ready access to the city's cultural opportunities as well as the recreational resources available on Mt. Hood and the Oregon coast. The College is a member of the Cascade Conference and competes in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Division II.
     A desire for a more central location in the Pacific Northwest led to a move to Portland in 1940. In 1959, the name was changed to Warner Pacific College in honor of one of the early founders of the church, as well as to reflect its growing liberal arts emphasis. Accreditation by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges followed in 1961. The college is approved by the State of Oregon for the training of teachers in identified subject areas.
